Falling for Fall : Edgy Fall Outfits

Edgy Fall Outifts

It is that time again, the leaves start changing, the air gets cooler, and the days have a cozier feel. It is fall, and here at the salty and sweet we are totally falling for it! This fall we will be adding a new string of posts called: Falling for Fall, each post will have a different topic and take but they will all be under the central theme of fall. Since this is the first post of the new season we would like to address a few concerns. First, our leave of absence since around July. We seem to have vanished since then for no other reason then the dreaded school! But never fear we have come up with plenty of new ideas since then and posts will be falling into place each week*. Next, this blog is under construction so some features may not be working at this time , please be patient and enjoy the new additions to the blog!

If you haven't really thought about Fall Wardrobe changes, or have been stuck on what to get. I am here for you at the start of this blissful season to help with all your troubles. Wading through endless racks can be overwhelming, and when you finally find a few items you want its even more stressful picking which ones to get and picturing them in your wardrobe, I'm here with a few staples and a few standout pieces for this fall that'll be a hit this season. Dont miss out on checks and plaids, especially red and black variations of these fashionably laid back style choices. They can turn a plain outfit into an edgy, or cozy style. Next, its all about leather; leather bags, leather pants, leather phone cases. Just make sure its a dark brooding color like black or a red/gray/brown and it'll match anything. Gold is a hit in accessories but don't forget those edgy chokers! Pick a variation of tattoo choker, metal choker, or a leather cord with a dangle decal. Black is the new black for an edgy fall, but dont forget sheers, shimmers, and velvet.

Until next time,
The Salty and Sweet.

Weekly Wishlist #3

Weekly Wishlist #3

On this segment of Weekly Wishlist I included 13 items (and tidied it up). The first on my list is a beautiful red poppy on white swing dress, its perfect for spring/summer and match's perfectly with number 2's Cleat Sole platform heel boots in black. Together the outfit is sweet and edgy, a hot combo this year. 3, is a Etro Printed Silk crepe maxi skirt, and I have fallen in love. This year I have really been interested in traveling to India,Bali, that general area and because of that I have started to adore bohemian and very loose intricate designs. 4,is the Lorac pro palette,I was interested in getting the Naked palette until I saw this one and fell in love. 5, a black Skagen Denmark Wristwatch is something I've been eyeing for a while and just rediscovered while I was browsing the webs. 6, another bohemian inspired, Subtle Luxury Native Tie Dye Scarf is perfect for a plain white shirt and dark jeans outfit or you can go bold and wear it with a bright orange/yellow or red Blouse and skirt/jeans. My seventh wishlist item is Stella McCartney Retro Sunglasses that pair well with any outfit.Number 8 is a boohoo grace V crop top in a bright orange, its so pretty and pairs well with 9's dark blue mango skinny jeans. 10 is a pair of cute wedge sandals by soda. Eleventh is a piura lazer cut saddle bag, it's pretty floral cut design and light brown color makes this purse pair well with most anything on this list. Number 12 is a Saint Laurent lapin felt wide brim hat in black, it is outrageously expensive, but you can find many cheaper alternatives on many sites. Wide brim hats are a must for summer. And last on my list, little ole number 13, is a Rosaleza monochrome cropped scuba blazer, though it has a fall feel, you could easily pair it with summery tops and dresses and your outfit be complete. What do you think? Are these as desirable to you as I? I'd love to hear you opinions in the comments below as well as what you're looking forward to seeing posted next!

What to put in your purse

What to put in your purse

So you've got the cutest purse and you're all ready to wear it out with an equally to-die-for outfit, but you have no idea what to put inside it? Well, above I have put together a list of items you should most definitely have in your purse and a few extra items for fun! Everyone should have a wallet for their money, you don't want your money floating in your huge purse trying to dig around when your just about to pay. Pens are also a must just in case you have to quickly jot a note down or a number ;) Always pack your phone, but that's a no brainer right? Lotion is a great thing to have if your arms and legs need a bit of nourishment. Extra earrings and a small makeup compact are good for dressing up an outfit if you need to go somewhere a bit fancier. A notebook is optional, but I really like writing when im bored and its great for writing things you need to remember. There are plenty more things you could include in your purse, but I wanted to bring it down to the essentials. I hoped you take this and use it, here's to having a great day!
